Musharrifah (Northwest Mosul) on May 5-9, 2017
Northwest of Mosul, the Iraqi Army continues to encircle the Islamic State fighters occupying the city. At a forward operating base, the Iraqi Army 9th Armored Division hosts the American medical NGO called Free Burma Rangers. The Free Burma Rangers provide first aid and water and snacks to refugees who have just fled their homes from Islamic State territory.
